A burger so big they named it twice.
The Nui Nui Burger @ Ono Family Restaurant in Kapaʻa Town. Served with lettuce, tomato and pickles on a sesame seed bun and a side of crispy fries.
In hawaiian the word nui means big. With two BIG homemade patties this burger is definitely Nui Nui!

Breakfast at Honolulu Airport
(Okay this is not a Kauai plate lunch but I was heading back to Kauai when I ate this so I think that counts.)
I canʻt remember if this is called a ZipPac or a SurfPac. All I know is this what-ever-pac, combines all the flavors and textures I enjoy. Salty, sweet, crunchy and savory. Whenever we take a trip to Oahu, Zippyʻs is one of our stops. This trip was so busy I thought we wouldn't have a chance (I was a little frustrated), but then my wife said "thereʻs one on the way to the airport".:Sigh!:. So there I was at 5:00 in the morning with my OnoPac and a smile having breakfast at Honolulu Airport.

Simple Mission
I thought it would be fun to write about something I enjoy doing.
Eating.
My mission is to sample the local cuisine of Kauai. One plate lunch at a time.
I am not a writer nor am I a food critic. I am simply a man that enjoys the many sensations of food: sight, smell, texture and flavor.
